What We Do

Rehabilitation Programs

Individualized training for adults and seniors in mobility instruction, daily living skills, and assistive technology training to live independently and self-sufficiently with vision loss.

Employment Programs

Vocational and assistive technology training, job readiness skills, and job placement support for employment success.

Youth Programs

Skill-building, mentorship, and year-round programs that prepare school-age children and teens for school success; and the workforce and independence after high school.

Supportive Services

Peer support including ongoing group counseling with a licensed mental health therapist, peer group activities and agency client (current and past) events throughout the year.

Our Legacy

Since 1940, we have served as a beacon of hope for those navigating vision loss. In 2019, we rebranded to reflect our expanded impact across Hillsborough, Polk, and Hardee counties — and our enduring promise: Guiding to Independence.
