Lighthouse for the Blind & Low Vision invites the community to walk with us in support of independence, inclusion, and opportunity for people who are blind or visually impaired. The 2026 White Cane Walk will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Macfarlane Park in Tampa.
This family-friendly, one-mile walk celebrates White Cane Day and raises awareness of the vital role the white cane plays in safe, independent travel. Proceeds support Lighthouse’s mission to maximize independence and provide employment opportunities for people with visual impairments across Hillsborough, Polk, and Hardee counties. All Lighthouse programs are provided free to clients, making community support essential.
Participants can register as individual walkers, start or join a team, or get involved through corporate sponsorship. Adult registration is $25, children walk for free, and every registrant receives a White Cane Walk t-shirt. Come enjoy breakfast, activities for all ages, and a meaningful morning walking alongside neighbors, friends, families, and Lighthouse clients.
